All India Minorities Forum for Democracy Assures Full Cooperation

Lucknow : Dr. Ammar Rizvi, former Acting Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and National President of the All India Minorities Forum for Democracy, has welcomed the initiative taken by leaders of the Muslim, Christian and other minority communities to establish a common platform for minorities. The decision was taken during an important meeting held at the residence of His Holiness Most Rev. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bengaluru.

Dr. Ammar Rizvi said that the All India Minorities Forum for Democracy was established in Uttar Pradesh in 1987. Since its inception, the Forum has been making sincere and continuous efforts to bring all minority communities recognised under the Constitution of India onto a common platform. The Forum also takes up issues concerning minorities with both the State Government and the Central Government and makes efforts for the resolution of their legitimate concerns.

He appreciated the commendable initiative of His Holiness Bishop Peter Machado to bring minorities together on a common platform and said that the initiative is an important step towards strengthening unity and cooperation among minority communities and raising their common issues effectively before the concerned authorities.

Dr. Rizvi assured full cooperation of the All India Minorities Forum for Democracy in this important mission. He said that the Forum would continue its sincere efforts to bring all minority communities in the country onto one platform, safeguard their constitutional rights and take up their legitimate issues with the State and Central Governments.
